Workshops and Experimental Facilities
Metal Workshop
The department operates a central metal workshop in the HIF building with modern CNC machines. The workshop manager manages operations with around seven technicians and is responsible for the development of research client orders.
Electronics Workshop
The D-BAUG electronics technicians work closely with various research groups and supports them in matters relating to electronics, measuring instrumentation, mechanics, software and hardware.
Environmental Engineering Laboratory
The environmental engineering laboratory (LUIW) is responsible for the organisation of laboratory courses for the Environmental Engineering programme of studies.
Experimental Facilities
The testing facilities in the HIF building (construction hall) are operated by the Institute of Structural Engineering (IBK). The contact is the manager of the construction hall.
Right next to the HIF construction hall is the testing hall (HIA) of the Hydraulics, Hydrology and Glaciology Laboratory (VAW). The contact is the hall manager.
