Master's thesis

The Master’s thesis is the culmination of the Master’s degree programme. It verifies the student’s ability to work in an independent, structured and scientific manner.

Students are only permitted to commence the Master’s thesis if they have

  • completed the Bachelor’s degree programme;
  • fulfilled all additional requirements for admission to the Master’s degree programme in Geomatics, if any such requirements were imposed;
  • acquired the required credits for compulsory subjects and for project work.

The Master’s thesis is supervised by a professor. He/she sets the subject of the Master’s thesis in consultation with the student.

The Master’s thesis takes 28 weeks. The exact start and submission dates will be set by the supervisor.

Upon successful completion of the Master's thesis, students are awarded 30 credits.
